Our friend Carolyn recommended we watch this movie Our friend Carolyn recommended we watch this movie, The Long, Long Trailer with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. It was made in 1953 but could have been made in 2021. Every single thing that happens in the film is relevant today. In this scene they want to escape campgrounds and trailer parks and camp in the wild (in their 40 foot long trailer😂). So they take a rustic dirt road believing it will lead to Nirvana. The first half of the journey from the New Brunswick border was stunningly beautiful. We stopped at every opportunity. We revisited the tower at the bog today during a l We revisited the tower at the bog today during a lull in the day-long rainfall. It was there we met Aaron from Germany who is here in Canada on a one year Visa. We heard him before we saw him. He was wearing a bear bell. He was told it would deter bears and since he is travelling solo it was a good idea. He started off in Ontario and is making his way to NL before making an abrupt turn and heading west for BC. His favourite place so far?! The Gaspesie in QC which happens to be one of our favourite places in Canada too. We’ve decided we’ll start heading back to Ontario via the Gaspé this week. We loved them all - the bog, the cedar forest, the pine forest, the beaches, the boardwalk and the salt marsh.
